Datapac successful on the double at the NSAI awards
Datapac is delighted to announce it was one of a select number of Irish companies that was recently awarded leading international standards from the NSAI (National Standards Authority of Ireland). At the awards, Datapac was accredited with world class standards for Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (OHSAS 18001).
These latest industry-leading accreditations are in addition to a collection of important standards gained previously by Datapac including ISO9001 for Quality Management Systems from the NSAI and ISO20000 for IT Service Management from Certification Europe.
The NSAI standards aim to improve the quality, performance, safety and the environmental impact of goods and services produced and sold in Ireland. The Environmental Management Systems Standard is awarded to organisations that manage and control activities that have an environmental impact. The Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series of Standards are awarded for high quality occupational health and safety (OH&S) management systems. Datapac has been recognised in terms of it’s achievements in both areas and both standards were bestowed upon Datapac at the recent awards ceremony.
John Perry, T.D. Minister for Small Business, who presented the awards, said “Finding a competitive advantage is crucial for businesses both at home and abroad and the impressive organisations here today show that companies believe that standards really do give their business that advantage. Companies are investing in standards because they can see the return on investment and are seeing the benefits. “
Munya O’Keeffe, IT Support and Development Co-ordinator at Datapac, commented“Winning these awards is affirmation of the investment in standards made by Datapac. At Datapac we always endeavour to be socially conscious and responsible, including providing the best working conditions for our employees and having as little impact upon the environment as we can. We believe these are very important goals and winning these highly sought-after standards is testament to the great work of all the team in Datapac.”

“The value of dealing with an HP Gold partner in this process can’t be underestimated. Datapac provide us with a local touch and can cover the full range of our IT requirements, but when there is a specific technical requirement like this, they can bring the specialist technical resources of HP to the table. HP and Datapac had a thorough discussion with us around our requirement - and had really done their homework - and then were able to provide us with a very highly specified test platform for us to prove the application on before we committed to purchase.”
